Fire Resistant
MagPanel® is fire resistant building material for commercial and residential construction
- Magpanel holds an A1 Fire Rating in accordance with EN 13501-1+A1:2010, clause 12, demonstrating its superior fire resistance. It has been rigorously tested to withstand temperatures exceeding 750°C (1,382°F) for over 30 minutes without any discoloration.
- Magpanel is also certified under EN ISO 1716 and EN 13501, ensuring compliance with stringent fire safety standards and providing customers with peace of mind regarding its fire-resistant properties. You can review our fire rating test results on our combined testing document.
- Magnesium oxide boards in general typically have a 0/0 rating on the ASTM E84 / UL 723 Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index.
- Magnesium oxide boards typically emit up to 30 lbs. of water as vapor during a fire event, helping to cool and contain the fire.
Water Resistant
Will not disintegrate when immersed in water for short periods of time
- Maintains its structural stability when slightly bent.

- Long period exposure to moisture however is not recommended.
